Tenggol Island is a privately owned island, recently been promoted as the latest National Marine Park declared by the Malaysian Government. The Island is renowned for its beautiful white sandy beach, clear blue waters and is no doubt the best diving spot in Peninsular Malaysia.

The Island...

This small and rugged island of Tenggol is a forgotten gem set in the in the azure waters of the South China Seas - an emerald of deep, crystal clear water, flanked with white sandy beach and beautiful coral reefs. This remote and tucked away tropical island paradise is a diving haven for divers and as for those non divers, Tenggol offers a great get away from the daily hussle of city life. Where one can spend time snorkling in crystal clear water, sun tanning or simply just enjoy the quietness and breeze.

The Resort...

The Tenggol Island Beach Resort is the only Chinese operational dive resort on this beautiful Tenggol Island. At this moment, it can only accommodate up to 16 guests. There are altogether 8 wooden chalets. All rooms are equipped with fan and hot shower; hopefully it will be upgrade soon with air-condition in the near future. The restaurant serves buffet style local cuisine, free flow of tea and coffee will be serving in between meals as well. Please note that there is no convenience store on the island. So, be prepared for what you needs during your trip!

The Diving...

Tenggol Island and it surrounding areas offer more than 20 stunning dive sites. Divers will be able to choose their type of diving, ranging from relax to more demanding sites. Calm coral gardens, wrecks and colony of garden eels, found at the bottom of the bay area dive sites will provide unforgettable diving experience for beginners. For more experience divers, who prefer to get their adrenaline pumping, can choose more demanding dive sites like, Tokong Timur, Tokong Laut or Tanjung Api, where strong currents, deeper waters and pelagics prevail. Each dive site will be able to provide "flavors" to divers, according to their preference!

Getting There...

We You can drive to Kuala Dungun and park your car near by the jetty. It is a leisurely and scenic 4 and half hours drive from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Dungun (approx. 390km). You may also catch a coach from Hentian Putra Bus Terminal (opposite PWTC) to Kuala Dungun. Once you're in Kuala Dungun, Tenggol Island is easily accessible by an exhilarating 45 minutes speed boat or 1 hour and 30 minutes wooden boat ride from Kuala Dungun, Terengganu.

Alternatively, you might also catch a flight with Firefly (from Subang Airport) to Kerteh Airport where located 30 minutes away from Kuala Dungun but their services is only available from Monday to Thursday weekly.
